Berg strip current capacity

How many mAmps current can a typical 2.54mm pitch berg strip carry? ref:pic

Depends on thickness of the berg. Generally thickness of Berg stick (thru-hole) is 100mils. As a thumb rule, 1000 mils (1 inch) of copper trace can carry 25 amperes of current. So , a berg stick which is 100 mils in diameter should easily carry about 2.5 Amperes.

Hope this helps
