Hi, I am new to using PADS layout and am currently editing a design. Every via has a "plane hatch void" surrounding it.

How are these created? When I insert a new via what do I do to get this "plane hatch void" outline?

Thanks!

When you pour the the plane, it automatically creates clearance around entities. The amount of clearance is specified in your design rules.
