i have a problem with my circuit. i am using 89c51 and i want to trasmit data using rf. i just found out that i have to use ht-12e and ht12e encoder and decoder or else my circuit will not work.

i have tried to connect but i do not know how to interface the circuit. is the a1 to a7 connected to a port in the 89c51 for the encoder and the a1 to a7 connected to the 8051 for the decoder? and if i do that, where do i connect the d0-d3 for both the encoder and decoder? and please how can i trigger the circuit to work?

also, i am sending a stream of message saying "hold on, wait your turn" through the rf transmitter, isnt that an 8-bit message and the ht series can only transmit 4 bit data, is it possible to transmit this??

help needed urgently pleeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeeeeee

i think you better use the manchester encoding and decoding. Through ht12E and 12D can only send and receive 4 bit data only. The a1 - a7 is the address lines. If the address matches the "vt" line comes high.

so its compulsory for me to send it as a 4 bit data then? can you suggest some other encoder and decoders for me that i can use that will just transmit 8 bit data that is also compatible with rf transmitters 433Mhz

Use 8 bit one i.e HT640 and HT648L if you can find in your place.

ok thanks...but how do i interface it to the 8051? what pins do i connect to the 8051? the D0-D3 pins or the a0 to a7 pins??

D0-D3 is for data. You should connect these lines to microcontroller.

A0-A3 is for address which can be left open.

thankyou, i understand now. i wil connect the D pins to the mcu and ground the A pins...
