cdb2oa

Hi, I'm trying to translate the cdb libraries to oa. I've followed this instructions (**broken link removed**) but I get a lot of warnings and errors:

WARNING (CDBOA-406): Directory <path>/<name> is in a cellview. The directory
and its contents will be copied to the destination database
but will not be translated.

WARNING (CDBOA-413): The OpenAccess cds.lib definition for library "name"
points to CDBA data. The translator will fail if the
library you are translating attempts to reference CDBA data
from OpenAccess. Remove the definition from the OpenAccess
cds.lib file or redefine it so that it points to OpenAccess
data.

WARNING (CDBOA-502): Cannot find technology information for library
<path>/<name>. Translating the library without technology
information.

Generated once. The translator is unable to find any
technology information for the library. There is no
technology library attached and no valid technology file
(tech.db) in the OpenAccess library directory.
Fix the technology references in the CDBA version and run
the translator again or attach appropriate technology
information in the OpenAccess version of the library.

ERROR (CDBOA-612): {Cell | View} <path>/<name> has an illegal CDBA name. Its
contents will be copied to the OpenAccess version of the
library but will not be translated.

Generated 2 times. The translator does not convert cells
or cellviews that have illegal CDBA names. The contents are
copied to the OpenAccess version of the library but are not
translated. This could mean that you end up with CDBA data
in the OpenAccess version of your library. Check the cell
or cellview in question and, if it is required, ensure that
it has a legal CDBA name and then run the translator again.

Can anyone help me, please? Thanks!

converting cells using cdb2oa

I am having similar problem as well.
I have a standard cell library built upon tsmc13 lib, and tried to convert that lib from cdb to oa, however, the following error/warning appreared
"(CDBOA-502): Cannot find technology information for library <path>/<name>. Translating the library without technology information. "

the translated lib can not be opened in ic610 !!

What might be wrong in my flow?

Hi,

I am trying to use the Standard Cell Libraries provided by Virginia Tech for PnR, which require the NCSU kit.

I am using the NCSU 1.6 beta version which works with the Cadence IC 1.6 version, however the VT Cell Libraries have been designed for the older version and have to be converted using cdb2oa.

I am getting the following error when I try to convert the Cell Library files:

*******
ERROR (CDBOA-500) : The translation was stopped because technology library "NCSU_TechLib_tsmc03d" referenced by library "../vtvt_tsmc250" does not exist. Ensure that any technology libraries referenced by the current library are defined in the cds.lib file and available in OpenAccess at the time they are referred.

*******

Now, the vtvt_tsmc250 has to be attached to the NCSU_TechLib_tsmc03d, but since it is in the cdb format even that is giving an error.

Please provide inputs.
