I am fairly new to electronics and I have to make a project for college. I have got a mothercare bottle warmer. I intend to use it as the heating material. I want to use it with a battery instead of current outlet.

The problem i am facing is that, i need a battery power source that can support it. It needs 2A and 12V to operate. I am unable to find a small battery pack that can provide it. So I need a solution for this problem.

Furthermore I want to control the time in which the warmer is operating, so i intend to use a 555 timer for the control.

Attached is a visual presentation of the idea. Please click it to see maximise it.
Any help is appreciated and guidance for a circuit is very much appreciated.

How long do you want the heater to be on for? A 555 is difficult to use with times over 15 minutes or so. Also your batteries, a 2A battery will deliver about 1.6 A for 1 Hr (the 2A if for the C/10 discharge rate).
