Hi...

I am using 89C52 for a project.
I have evaluation version of Keil2.0

To burn the hex code into the 89C52, will I need a programmer? I have flash magic software. Cant I use it directly? (seems that it doesnt support 89C52  )

flash magic is an interface between you pc and external progammer in which you program your 89c52 controller...

So external programmer is needed.. change you controller to P89v51rd2BN or p89c51rd2BN.. you will not need a programmer

sir i want to know more about this chip

This chip is like many other chips in todays market that support (ISP-> In system Programming). The meaning is you can program the chip without the external Programmer and need not remove it from the target board on which we run the application program, this is designed around 8051 architecture so no programmer will find it difficult if they have already worked on any 8051 like atmel or any controller. This IC has a bootloader ( written by manufacturer to support ISP), you can use this chip and and using flash magic program the controller in the same board itself..

read the data sheet .. its easy to understand

yes sir i read data sheet i am new to this chip. will asm code written for 89c51 work with this chip ?
