what Synthesis Tools used for xilinx based design other than ISE itself?

what are the Other Specialized software Used in FPGA Design Flow other than Simulation Software And synthesis Software ......Now we work on ISE .....Want to Know More Details About Synopsis Synplify ...Leonardo Spectrum etc ....what is the advantage of Using ChipScope Pro ....

Could please Provide a generaL idea about the third party software Used in FPGA Design flow for Xilinx Spartan 3
 

I've used Symplify for synthisis in Xilinx flows. The only advantage is Synplify is considered "best in class" so theorically you get better synthesis. The most often used format that migrates the syhthesized code from Synplify to Xilins tools for P&R is EDIF.

Chip Scope Pro is a debugging tool that allows you to view the internal node signals while the design is running in your FPGA. It captures the signals and outputs them throught the JTAG port, and the tool has a viewer you can see the signals in much the same way you view simulation data.

Not for Xilinx. Altera has their own version.
 

SignalTap Logic analyzer tool from Altera.
