I am trying to have a board professionally made, and I'm using the BOM and pick and place file generation features in the output job to send files to my manufacturers. The problem is that all the components with the same footprint are listed in the same columb in the BOM, and if I include a columb for 'value' all i get is a list of values.
The P&P file does have every component on its own line, but deos not have the option to include a 'value' columb! now i have thoughsands of different resistors and caps with the same footprint, and no way to distinguish between them.

Does anyone know of a way to include te values in the P&P files?

When you open the BOM generation option, you have "Grouped Columns" on the left most corner of your window. There you can drag and drop the parameters and group you items as you want like in your case now it is showing the BOM items grouped by "footprint" you can drag the "footprint" parameter from the column and bring "value" parameter inplace of it and you will have your BOM as desired.

You can also have a look at this link.
**broken link removed**.

and for P&P file this link will show how to modify the file

Thanks, I actually set the resistors and caps 'comment' property to '=VALUE'. this fixed the issue, but I agree your way is best, I cant believe i didint see that... thanks again.
