Peace be to all,
I am working on interfacing 14 slave controllers to a master via RS485 (full duplex). The querry is that which IC to use and the schematic of TTL to RS485 (full duplex) converter to interface b/w avr and RS485.
thanking in anticipation

Nah, he need full duplex. Take a look at maxim. They got many of them.

One example is MAX3465.

But take a look on the other ones.

In local market here I am available with MAX485 only (from MAXIM). Can I make full duplex communication via MAX485?

If thats the only option you got you could use 2 MAX485 to build 1 FullDuplex tranceiver. Just use one as receiver grounding both flow control pins (DE and RE) and just using the RO Pin. The other one you use as a sender, driving both flow control pins to 5v and just using DI pin to send data. You going to have a FullDuplex tranceiver, but you going to have to use 2 MAX485 for each node on the bus.

Hey what about the IC SN75176B.It is bidirectional, maybe it will help you.
