Hi all Dears
please tell me how we can calculate the effective index using FDTD?
any help can be a great hint
best regards

Hi all Dears
please tell me how we can calculate the effective index using FDTD?

I assume you mean index of refraction. Use a vacuum-material X planar interface.
Insert a planewave use the reflected and transmitted waves to compute the index
of refraction. (Some more details on what you want to do may be helpful.)

thank you my dear friend
but how calculate index of refraction via reflected and transmitted waves. I am a beginner and need more help.

There is some code at

https://dougneubauer.com/fdtd/

I don't know if it will be helpful. In any case some effort on your
part will be required. It would be helpful if you tell us what materials
(textbook etc) you are using and where you have difficulties.
