Hi,

I am using the LMX9838 bluetooth module to connect to headset from a host DSP. I have a query regarding link establishment and timeout. Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated.

When I use the GAP_INQUIRY command to search for other bluetooth devices and then try to get the names of the remote devices, the requests don't seem to time out on certain trials. What I mean is that my code indefinitely waits for the confirmation packet from the remote device containing it's name. Is there some way for me to set a certain timeout period to prevent a lockout.

Thanks for viewing the message and the data sheet. I am however trying to get a better idea of the specific issue of the module not timing out when searching for the name of remote devices. As of now I am able to get the module to connect to a headset and establish audio link. But I wish to provide a list of devices found during the initial discovery process, so that the user can select the device to connect to. The module is kind of unstable here and sometimes hangs and does not respond with a ERROR_TIMEOUT message. If anyone has faced similar issues or has any suggestion on how to proceed with solving this, please do put in a message.
