Gilbert Cell Mixer

Hi all

i have to desing a downconversion mixer with, RF freq = 2.3 GHz, LO freq = 2.2 GHz, and an output 100 MHz at IF

i have some problems designing my mixer

1. Is my BSIM3 model correct for this design
2. Is my DC bias circuit correct?
3. Is my input and output impedance matching correct?
4. in my simulation's result,, i have -51 for Conversion gain,, what should i do to make it positive
5. how to make IP3 simulation

Re: Gilbert Cell Mixer

In the mixer chapter you will find information about expected Gilbert cell performance

Microwave Circuit Design Using Linear and Nonlinear Techniques, Second Edition, by George Vendelin, Anthony M. Pavio, Ulrich L. Rohde, published by John Wiley & Sons, New York, NY, May, 2005, ISBN 0-471-41479-4.

somebodyyy,,, help,, give some advice for me

Your circuit is wrong. You drive LO to only one MOS, other one ( MOSFET9) is not driven. However, MOSFET9 and MOSFET16 should be both driven by the same LO signal.
I have simply corrected your circuit and the Power Gain that should be simulated as Pout/Pin NOT by S-Parametrs !! is found as 4.98dB as mentioned in pdf file.

Investigate your circuit carefully, there might be some other type errors..
Good Luck
