arm serial programmer

I have the hexfile and a usb to serial adapater that can connect to a serial port on my ARM kit. I need to download the file into the kit.

Is there a free/ open source ARM programming software that uses the usb to serial adapter (based on the ftdi chip) to download the hex file ?

Free programming software is rather different depending which ARM device you are using. For example, for the LPC2000 series you can get free programming software from https://www.flashmagictool.com/ . This software is free for evaluation. For other manufacturers, you might want to check their websites, such as www.st.com or www.atmel.com or which ever device you have.

Hope this helps, Bob
