rfpic12f675h distance

Hi
i am trying to build a system similar to the pager system i.e. i want to build the pager devices (receivers) and build the Master unit which would be the switch of the system.
i have checked the rfPIC12F675H which is a microchip microcontroller and RF receiver for 830 to 950 MHz and i think it would be a good selection,
can you suggest me any RF receivers (alternatives) to be used in the pagers and preferred to be small in size and of low cost or can you comment on my the rfPIC12F675H?
and for the master unit i am planning to use a PC+modulator compatible with the rfPIC126675 but the problem is that the availabe device is capable of providing 10 mW of output power which is very little power for large distance of transmission.
can you also make a suggestion for the transmitter unit especially for the power amplification part cuz i should provide coverage within a university campus.
thank you.

HI

A nice receiver to use is the MICRF005 (800MHz to 1000MHz frequency range)

for the range u can use the MICRF505 (it is a transceiver chip in the same range)

or if u don't want to use a transceiver u can always make repeaters.

thanks

thank you very much you helped me alot and by the way the MICRF505 is a magnificent transceiver
