In HFSS V10 if must look at the antenna Gain Can have two options in the result,

respectively is Gain and Realized Gain.

I do not understand these two have any to be different.

May ask the expert to help me to explain.

Thanks.

there is clear difference between the two gains

the realized gain is the gain taking into account the reflection losses at the input of the antenna. in other words it is the ratio of power radiated to the power input to the antenna

whereas gain doesnt take into account the reflection losses at the antenna input.

and it is simply the ratio of power radiated to the power accepted by the antenna

obviously realized gain will be less than the gain

i hope its clear to you now

regards

So Gain is the supposition power has complete delivers the
antenna and the survey radiation power and the power input ratio?

But Realized Gain is the survey actual delivers the antenna the power
and the radiation power ratio?

Why did you open another topic for the
same?:
