UAV Needs 20 mile communication

Hello .. Im working on a UAV and I really need to establish communication with my aircraft from the ground station . I would like to have a 20 mile radius communication..
Where should i start ?
i found this link where these guys have established connection about 20 mile radius **broken link removed**..
i dont know what technology these guys are using but please just debrief on how to establish such kind of long range communications
 

hello

that controller uses the brand new Xbee XSC module!!

these modules can go upto 15 miles line of sight!!

there are also ones that can go 20 miles, but they have switched to the oens that go 15 miles..


so buy 2 Xbee XSC's... and 1 com interface board.

and 1 techFx Motion controller.

and you are all set for 15 mile commo telemetry link.
