excellon2.usr

Hi,
can anyone let me know how to generate the drill table on the drill layer in cadstar 10 as we don in allegro.

thanks

starturn drill table

Cadstar dont have this feature..You have to do it manually by coping and pasting from drill drawing report

also with third part tool STATURN ,u can generate this report automatically

generate drill

Seeing as you should also be making a manufacturing drawing to detail the spec of the board, its dimensions etc.

At this point you can add yourself a drill table (make some doc symbols for the tables) and then generate a drill drawing/manufacturing drawing report, write down the details then add it to the drawing & redo it.

As Abhi said, this is currently the only way of doing it (manually that is) unless you purchase "starturn" which will do it for you.
Unfortunately that is not available by any other means. :(

Yet another of Cadstars "little annoying things it does not do" :D

File - manufacturing export- NC Drill - setup device (excellon etc.) - Start processing and here you go

That produces the NC drill file only, it does not produce a drawing with the drill table within it nor a drill file with the table included.

If you use 'excellon2.usr' it embeds the drill table into the nc files.

Hi all I think we are getting it wrong .
he wants drill table to be auto generated as it is done in some other tools like Allegro and orcad.
Drill table generated alongside PCB drawing he is talking about.

as mentioned earlier by abhi amd cyberrat it has to created manually. this is how we are donig.
you can do one thing draw the table for one board and you can copy paste it on other boards also (this is one of the things that I like in cadstar).

hope it will help you.

As I said, you can create "document symbols" that are drill tables with "Letter, Size, Count, Plated/not plated" type info, create several of them with increasing rows for bigger tables and simply add them into the design & then type the relevant info in.

Perhaps V_kumar can return to the thread & reply & let us know if what we are talking about is actually what he wants?
