Hello,
Iam looking for a Verilog book. I have done VHDL and "C" programming before.
I have heard it closely resembles "C" code.
Iam looking for a book which will provide me good understanding of concepts and good examples, so that i can try a few codes myself.
Iam looking for book that will help me in Digital design.

Secondly which tool is needed for verilog . Any free tools which can be downloaded will be useful.
Links for the book and tool will be nice.
Thanks.

You can learn verilog from www.asic-world.com/verilog

You can download Modelsim Evaluation version to simulate the same.

Added after 2 minutes:

Samir Palnitkar's Verilog HDL is a very good book to learn verilog

Verilog Hardware description language by moorby is good book

Hi friend
For Verilog Samir palnitkar book " Verilog HDL A guide to Digital Design
and Synthesis" will be nice. you can get the verilog books from the site www.rsfind.com/tag/verilog/ . And modelsim can be downloaded for free as above mentioned.
There are lot more verilog books available in net just have a search

standard book for verilog are,

1) "Modelling,Synthesis, and Rapid Prototyping with the Verilog HDL" by Michael D Ciletti.

2) "Advanced Digital Design with Verilog HDL" by Michael D Ciletti.

tools are,

1) Quartus II from Altera: free download, but valid for few days.
2)Active HDL from ALDEC company.

dear....u can ask for demo version of ncverilog from cadence....
