one bit means 6 dB lower noise means 6dB lower kT/C which means 4X bigger capacitor
( 10*log10(4C/C)=6dB)

Note that KT/C has a unit of power, for one bit resolution means 1/2 vlotage as LSB, thus the maxium noise power reduce to 1/4...
Hope I made clear?

The same rule applies to matching accuracy.

Matching is inverse proportional to the square root of the area! If you take four times the area you will get two times the accuracy.
