Hi all,

I am new to microcontrollers and happen to have an opportunity to work for a company doing microcontroller (I'll be doinig the circuits inside it). I am debating whether to take the offer or not and I would like to know if anyone can give me some inputs esp. on the following questions

1. What's the trend for uC? Is it still growing or is it pretty much flat now.
2. Who are the top 3 (or 5) market share leaders (among 32 bits)?
3. How's the technology/performance for uC evolving for the past few years? What's the trend for uC in terms of performance wise, is it low power or high speed or something else?

Highly appreciate if anyone can answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You are getting an opportunity to work in a core area related to IC design, the various aspects of which are fundamentally controlling the booming Electronics market of today. I am sure you are one of the luckiest of those who could get a job in line with their education. If you are interested in an Electronics Design Career, and not averse to put in hard work, you should thank heavens and join the Company immediately.

As regards, future, who knows what is there for tomorrow, " The dead yesterday, the unborn tomorrow, why fetter about these when today be sweet?"

With best wishes,
Laktronics
