delta sigma, adcs

Hi everybody,
There is a suggested topic to me for my master thesis, it is ADC by delta-sigma, so I want to know what is the challenge in this topic and if this topic is a hot topic and allow me to publish any paper after testing and is this topic suitable for master thesis or not?.

Delta Sigma ADCs

Yes, Delta-sigma is a huge topic right now in data converters. There are a lot of good books out there explaining the concept. You need to find a specific area to do a MS thesis - something that isn't going to be too big of a project. Your advisor may be able to help.

Both SD ADCs and DACs are prefered for resolution >16 bits.
In my opinion it combines everything: digital signal processing,analog signal processing, digital design, analog design and you can learn a lot of things.

Search Undestanding Sigma delta coverters in ebooks
and data converters from maloberti.

A sd toolbox is also available for matlab
