speeding ADS

hey,

I'm doing a EM simulation of a PIFA with ADS,
the overall size of the design is 110mmx25mm and the Er used is 2.2.
it take more than 40min to do this (with a 2.2GHz 3GHz RAM),
I know in IE3D it will take less time...
can anyone help me speed up the simulation?
(the mesh is 10 with F=3GHz and no edge mesh)

speeding ADS

if u defined the conductor with thickness , this will make the simulation take longer time

u can adjust the conductor to be sheet , this will speed up the simulation

can u upload ur project , or give me the dimensions , so i can test it

Re: speeding ADS

I used metal without thickness and a PEC.

the dimentions are 110x37 mm

thanks

Which version of ADS are you using?
Are you using finite ground plane ( by default momentum takes infinite GND)?

Re: speeding ADS

Just go to the task manager and in processes tab pick proper and give to it max priority,
also do not tale a lot of points to run

But of course you can do it with other 3D simulators and for sure they will be more faster (like HFSS, CST etc.)

can we have finite ground plane specification in ads?
