what is pcapacitor

What's the difference between cap & pcapacitor in analogLib of cadence model? For parameter extraction?
In the schematic, cap used for parasitical cap i have seen are all pcapacitor model.

Thanks in advance

pcapacitor is parasitic capacitor.

Yes, it's for the parasitic extraction. pcapacitor is the device that the extractor creates out of the layout. presistor is similar.

Normally one never uses a p-element in a schematic.

Also, I use presistor for integration of different global wires with various names.

Can't (our should you not...) use the patch element from the basic library for that ?
