I have a problem - the CRT in my scope has a broken pin. Does anyone know where II could get a new/old tube or replacement for cheap. Number 150AMT31A Trio Kenwood. Anyone know whether this tube is similar to any other or is used in any other CROs?

Thanks

That number should be 150ATM31A

Thanks
Alternatively, does anyone have any techniques for attaching to a broken pin in the base??

The exposed part of the broken pin should be near the glass surface. Use a small file to file the pin end until smooth. This is possible as the softer glass will not resist the hard material of the file. Then use soldering to attach a wire of the same gauge as the pin. You can then put a blob of epoxy around the soldered joint to obtain added strength and act as electrical insulator.

Thanks for that advice but I have tried a slightly different way. The pin broke off inside the base glass in a little hole. I couldn't get to the pin to solder so I have filled the hole with silver paint and epoxied a new pin in. The lead appears to be in good contact with the end of the wire so I hope it will work
