I have little idea this can be done using DTMF deocder ic and controller.
But i am stuck how to connect phone line with that ic do i need some precautions or what. I need little help to ignite my self in this topic reset i can burn my self.

HI,

The precaution u should take is that the ringing signal can reach 70 to 110 VAC so you should take care that you might get shocked if the phone rings while u r working. Then u should know some fundamentals about phone lines (i.e the ringing signal, the busy tone etc..) to be able to make a circuit to automatically open the phone line like an answer machine for example, you can find this information in the attached "UNDERSTANDING TELEPHONES.pdf". and for the circuit of the decoder u can use than provided in the datasheet of the decoder ht9170b.

for more information about telephones see:
https://www.telephonetribute.com

also note that the output of the DTMF decoder is a 4-bits binary representation of the pressed key on your phone keypad.

If u need any more hep please let me know
