I would say that VB is easier, but would recommend VC++ anytime over VB. I think both is Internet Compatable, but if you want to
really get in to net programming. get Visual.Net

You should select development platform, nore language.
Many languages novadays have IDEs, which allow to easily build GUI.
Historically first one was Delphi (Pascal).
Later MS launched their Visual family (Basic, C++ etc)
Today you may select from lots of languages.
So start from selection of language you know, or which is easier for you to study, then select platform.

For example, for cross-compatibility I use Python+wxWidgets :)

the visual c++ is better for developing the gui as compare to VB because of their powerfull features and the ability to create graphics

Have you ever tried LabWindows/CVI?

from https://www.ni.com/lwcvi/

"National Instruments LabWindows/CVI is a proven ANSI C integrated development environment that provides engineers and scientists with a comprehensive set of programming tools for creating test and control applications. NI LabWindows/CVI combines the longevity and reusability of ANSI C with engineering-specific functionality designed for instrument control, data acquisition, analysis, and user interface development."

If you are alone developer get rid off those "++" headeches...

VC++ is best coz it is faster and powerful.

as a beginer,vb is a good choice.

you can do everything with vc++, but vb has limits.
(Howewer the new vb versions are rather powerful. so maybe in a little while vb will be as poweful as vc++).
But if you can use dotnet platform I rather recommend VC#. It's very casual developer tool.

how can i close visual basic GUI using matlab command?

it is the same..depend to you what language that you are comfortable..

None of the above. Java + Apache Pivot. Simple as VB.NET, powerful as C++ and works almost everywhere (Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris), both as a desktop application or a webbrowser applet.

I have two (2) GUIs made by Matlab and Visual Basic 6.0..

My main GUI is the Matlab GUI..When i ran the Matlab GUI,it automatically opens the GUI in VB..

What i want to figure out is how will the GUI in VB close when i exit or close my GUI in Matlab?

Any help guyz?

Thanks..
