since the standard impedance of RF test equipments is 50-ohm, is it possible to change this value (for example 100Ω, 500Ω) to test a circuit with different values of RL ?

Re: Z-LOAD

50Ω impedance is popular value in RF system, according to RF theory microwave signal is in travelling wave when natural impedance is equal to load impedance, so we desian a RF component by 50Ohm, because our product will used for a 50 Ohm popular RF system. if change 50 Ohm to other value, will to dismatch at joint between our product and system.

so if you hope to adopt other value to design a RF product, you must be confirm this value suit for your system.

Re: Z-LOAD

it would be just for testing purposes. Can a series impedance be implemented to the test equipment in order to increase 50Ω ?
