Open a new note pad, save this test into it.
"this app can break"
close it and open it. It is showing some squares. Why this is happening?

Re: notepad problem

Squares are appearing may be because the font is not supporting.
In between saving and reopening something happening to the font

Re: notepad problem

Why this is happening only to this "this app can break" only?

Re: notepad problem

this is happening not only to "this app can break"
it happens for many other sentences like

"this app can break"
"xxxx xxx xxx xxxxx"
"abcd efg hij klmno"
"bush hid the facts"
"jobs are for boob"
"saaaa aaa aaa aaaaa"
"that dog has ticks"
"bill gat esi sboss"
"bill the ceo cries"

lets try, U can also find out something more

Re: notepad problem

What is the reason why this is happening?

Re: notepad problem

See, open the file with content as sqares in wordpad you can get it readable.

Re: notepad problem

That's interesting. That means it is writing into the file properly. And something happens while reading.

Re: notepad problem

U r abosolutely right.
We can do some more experiments.
Open a new wordpad. There u can get few options. You can get a new wordpad as text, or in unicode format. Copy the same text "this app can break" into it, save it.
Open it. If the format is text u will loose the data.I mean it apperars as squares. If it is in unicode format it is opening properly.

Re: notepad problem

It is happening. If the text saved in unicode format is appearing correct. The one in test format is appearing as sqares

Re: notepad problem

Reason why it is happeing is what ever u have written as test is read as unicode.
Try to read the file using this program.

Re: notepad problem

check your keyboard while you are trying to type something.
Make sure that it is EN(english united s...)
درست شد؟

Re: notepad problem

Its not at all a problem with keyboard or font. Its is the inability of windows to know whether the written format is unicode or text

Re: notepad problem

The text document must be saved with UTF-8 format.
