Protel 99SE

Hi,

Can anyone help me?

Please can you teach me how to fill the Title, Number, Revision, Date, and Sheet of of the Schematic Sheets

Thank You.

Re: Protel 99SE

Here is the way I do it.

1. Right click anywhere on the schematic and select Document Options
2. Select the Organization tab and fill out the data on the form.
3. Click OK to keep changes.

There may be another way to do it from the menu but that is how I do it.

I found the other way to do it.

While in the schematic editor go to the menu and pull down Design. Then select options and then the Organization tab as before.

Hope that helps....

If you want the information to display on the schematic before it is printed out, you have to turn on the "convert special strings" option.

You'll find that check box under: Tools-Preferences-Graphical Editing-Convert Special Strings.

Re: Protel 99SE

You need to put the special control text in the boxes on the sheet. Such as .title in the "Title" box. These special text strings can be seen if you hit 'tab' after selecting 'place annotation', and looking in the drop down box for the text string. They all begin with a dot (.).

Look at some of the examples that came with the software. You can see how it was done. The builtin help also discusses using special strings on schematic templates.

Once you have placed the special string, whatever is in the corresponding Design-Options-Sheet Options boxes will show up where the special string was placed.

I already done as you say but the Design-Options-Sheet Options boxes never show-up anything!!

Thank.

Re: Protel 99SE

You have to type in the information for your document in Design-Options-Organization. The information entered on that tab will be linked to the special strings you typed in the boxes on your schematic sheet.

The idea is that you make a template with the special strings. You can then use that template for any page, and whatever is entered in the Options - Organization page will appear on the sheet according to where you put the special strings.

For an explanation, look at Help-Index-template-using schematic templates. At the bottom of the help page is another link titled "Using special strings in schematic templates" that tells you the rest of the story.
