parameters+orcad 9.2

Hi All
As far as I know, in OrCad 9.2, all analysis including parametric have to be of DC, AC or Transient types. But this is not always useful. Let's say I have a DC source connected to a resistor & I want to vary the resistor's value & monitor its current (can't be any simpler!). What I need to plot is Current vs. Resistance. Is this at all possible? If not I have to forget OrCad :(

Thank you

Dear,

For your problem (Current / R Plot):

in Simulation Setting Dialog -->Select DC SWEEP -->in Primary SWEEP Select Global Parameter ---> type your parameter (resistor Value) as parameter name --> Set your desired values for parameter.

add a current probe for resistor.Run simulation.See your desired plot!

Good Luck

max0412, memarian you were both spot-on :D
Thank you

Additional question,

Suppose I have a RC oscillator, for each C value, I can get the waveform by the transient analysis. How can I get a curve on which x axias is the value of C, y axias is the period of the output waveform.

If I do the parametric sweep upon primary transient analysis, I can only get a group of waveforms correspond with different C value.
