Hi, friends: We can export the CDL netlist from Cadance, like:
M*** d g s b PV W=10u L=2u M=1
R*** net1 net2 NumberOfsheet $[SR]
But CDL netlist can't be simulated directly using Hspice, we must find and replace. Does there exit method to export the Hspice netlist that can be recognzied directly by Hspice simulator without any modulation. I use the cadance integrated environment, and want to export the MOS model and resistor's Length, width, model, just like:
M*** d g s b model_name W L AD AS PD PS M
resistor is in the form of subckt like:
XR*** net1 net2 Model_name Width Length
And i want to know other's design flow, thank you in advance.

You can export the HSPICE netlist in the Analog Environment. Simply set the simulator to HSPICE instead of spectre or spectreS. The netlist output should then be in HSPICE format.

Re: How to export Hspice Netlist directly from Schematic Vie

HI, kienhuy
I have tried your method, and it does work. do you simulate the circuit in the graphic interface in Cadance integrated environment? I have tried several times but the output log file tell me the model file can not be found. I have change the model derectory, but i donot know how to change the section, such as TT, FF, or resistor etc. can you tell me how to set the default? i have read the help file but cant get some hint. thank you in advance!!

Under the setup menu, you can specify the path to the model library files. This path will automatically be included in the output netlist. You can simulate the circuit in the Analog environment if you have the Hspice package for cadence. Otherwise, you will just have to save the output netlist and run Hspice externally. If you want to use the graphic interface in Cadence, then I suggest you use the spectre simulator.
