Can I use Olimex ARM JTAG to program TI TMS470?

Hi,

Can I use the Olimex ARM JTAG to program the TI TMS470?

If I can do that, I'll be happy if someone post a schematic for that ARM JTAG.

(******Sorry because my english is realy poor*******)

Yes, you can use Wiggler for TMS470.

This is not full compatible with Wiggler ....

I didn't knew it wasn't full compatible with wiggler can u post a schematic of a full compatible jtag wiggler please?

So dainis if i use this schematic (h**p://www.siwawi.arubi.uni-kl.de/avr_projects/arm_projects/wiggler1.pdf) and connect pins 8 and 15 of the DB25 the TMS470 will work just fine with code composer or IAR ?

Without detailed view, this look more similar with original Wiggler. I do not test any Wiggler with IAR ...
I make similar Wiggler, but with only one 74HC244 buffer which is powered from JTAG target connector and with serial rezistors in all signal wires.

Thanks for the schematic but, sorry i'm just beginning to work with ARM devices, i would like to know if the code composer for TI just simulates a TMS470 or can also program a device with a wiggler like that? thanks again

I do not know, but thinking that TI Code Composer do not supported Wiggler ...

Dainis but the software u pointed to use with yours wiggler doesn't goes with the TMS470 at least it wasn't listed neither on the site nor on the program itself as philips and others.

P.S.: I want to use TMS470 because of its inbuilt interfaces for OBDII and because of its great flash memory that is said to reach 1mb next year

1) TI Code Composer not directly supported Wiggler
2) Macraigor tools and GNU GDB supported TMS470, as generic ARM TDMI7 CPU, but for internal flash programming, you need bootloader or other software which is downloadeble via JTAG and Wiggler ....

i have checked this wigler with LPC2103 but is it working with TMS470r1a256 ic?

i have tried to use wiggler(working ok with lpx21xx) on tms470 in rowly crosswork software but it does not seem to be working,If you are having any tested wiggler circuite for wiggle for tms470?

Have you found any Rowley Crossworks compatible Wiggler schematic?

Well nice that you post this picture, because I already tried specially this schmeatic. Also with the connection between SRST and TRST. But nothing works for me. Is there something special about the Printer Port? Will I have to change the LPT configuration?

I'm very confused because I already tried three or four different Wiggler-Schmeatics...
