What standard symbol stands for active energy?
For example:
P stands for active power
Q stands for reactive power
S stands for apparent power
than what symbol stands for active energy (kWh)?
Excuse my bad English.

Energy, E is in many forms relating to mass, speed, electrical, mechanical etc.

1 Joule (J) is the MKS unit of energy, equal to the force of one Newton acting through one meter.
1 J = 1 Ws {watt-second}
or in other words 1 Watt= one Joule of energy per second.

so E(t)=P(t)*t (real-time product average) for E in Joules and P in Watts and time in seconds

or simply E=P*t but for utility industry they will use a more suitable scale. like MWh

Watt-seconds or joules, their is no descriptor per-se for active energy, except perhaps watts which is real power, or real joules per second doing something useful, i.e.motive work or heating...

when energy changes form work has been done. work is active.. so you need a symbol not for energy, but for the changing form of energy.

Hi,

It could be E or W.
