I want to make a robo car which will sense the depth and move accordingly to different direction. But i dont know about depth sensors Please through a flood of light on depth sensor and how it can be interfaced with Microcontroller(pic16f)

if you mean distance and proximity sensors, so you can use ultrasonic sensors or laser sensors.
you can buy them as separate modules then download the appropriate interfacing library.

take a look here

An ultrasonic sensor in characterized by its working frequency.
Almost all these sensors work between 30Khz to 40Khz and the range of distance is around few meters.
Check the websites i gave you for more information and try to get used with reading datasheets.
