Hello all,
I'm new in digital design field, i've just learned verilog language
and wanted to make codes come to real life as hardware implementation, so i need your help to decide which FPGA should i buy
which will allow me to do a lot amazing projects , the Graduation Project also.
Is Spartan 3E starter is a good choice?

Thanks in advance!

It depends on complexity of the project.
Try to specify something to let us guide better.

@andre_teprom
i don't have something special, i just want to make many projects as a beginner
wa can say, MIPS Microprocessor , VGA applications , and many projects
i want a famous FPGA such that, i can easily find its manual and when facing problems i can ask people about it

If you are considering spartan-3e I'd say pick a spartan-6. Nice price/performance IMO. It's a bit more up to date compared to spartan-3e. That and it actually has a PLL, which I find quite convenient. Spartan-3e only has a DCM.

If you are still deciding what board to get, check this handy list from joelby.

Hi

As a beginner your choice of Spartan 3E i good, but the thing about your graduation project depends on what idea you choose. Go through some basic development boards from Altera which comes with lots of demos. Make it clear about your requirements.....

Thank you guys, i've bought Spartan-3E starter kit :D
and finally i'm waiting to download my firsy code on it
does anyone know how to download the code on this board ?
