Hello all, i am using synopsys design compiler to compile a design. i have a question: i am using osu035 and osu05 libraries. with thw 0.5 i have area result: 6,02 and with 0.35 2,67. Is that make sense??? cause i think that is a bit strange. Are the area results correct icluding the technology i use right? Tannk you and i am waiting for your answer.

i think it makes sense

with osu035 area is less than osu050 which is how it should be. As the technology shrinks, area gets reduced.

Are you talking about that? or is there any other thing?

It sounds about right - 0.35um would be less than half the area of 0.5um assuming everything shrinks.
