is there any ATmega device with internal DAC ??
if not what DAC ICs can i connect to the AVR ???

I need high precision (12 bit or more)

I can't think of one, but mainly because PWM and RC integrator can often be usable (and some ATmegas definitely support PWM to
at least 10bit from memory), for several channels.
For high precision, you may wish to use a dedicated DAC and then you can choose your precision.
Lots to choose from (e.g. a dual 12-bit one would be AD5722 ).

ATmega MCUs do not have internal DAC. For XMega I wouldn't know.
About external DAC, I have used tlv5638, it is easy to use with spi interface.
