hai

I need a sine wave generator ic for generating 300 kHz to 500 kHz
i tired to get MAX038 but unable to find it Ireland

can any one suggest any alternative ic?
or any international supplier for max038

thanks and regards
pratap

note: please dont ask me to google it, i am doing it since 3 days and posting here

Have you taken a look at the DDS chips from Analog devices ?

hai

I am unaware of the DDS chips (their operation)
do we need to connect any external circuit for programming?
i am afraid, i don't know programming

can we directly connect the dds chip, and will it directly work on?

thanks and regards
Pratap

Exar used to make single chip function generators
with sine, triangle and square outputs. Not sure if
they are still making those, of if they can get to
Ireland.

Surprising that Farnell can't get something to you.

Yes, XR2206!!! :)
I used this component as a part of my final year project construction. I remember its price was very high. I just made a quick tour to some on line electronic component stores, but none had it available. Even digikey had it in its search tool, but with availability 0. I suppose it is not in the market any more...
It was very easy to use, by just implementing the circuits provided in the datasheet.

MCU is not needed for driving it, just analog voltage.
