Hello There,

I want to run an experiment where I can use the mobile agent approach in a MANET (mobile ad hoc network ) what are some possible simulation tools, other than NS3, that I can use to simulate the Manet network and use Mobile agent in it ?

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thank you,

Network Simulator 3 is the best free program

You can use OPNET which is the best but commercial so you mest have a license or a cracked version

I appreciate your prompt response.

which you think is easier, less complicated to work with? ns3 or opnet?

The best options are OPNET (Very expensive with extensive UI features), NetSim (Reasonable, with of course lesser UI features) and NS 2 (Free)
