Hey guys,
I am working on a project to distinguish between laser and inkjet printers. I will be given laser and inkjet paper printouts. I need to scan the images and analyze them using matlab/c/c++. Any ideas as to how I can use Signal Processing to differentiate between them? I m pretty new...
Re: asic project idea
Its for university purposes only. Will it make sense to separate out the RGB components of the video signal? Is it possible to isolate RGB from a video signal using an ASIC?
Pls do reply as soon as you can.
I think thresholding and picture inversion will require external memory. Is there something that can be done which does not require any external memory?
I was thinking of a VGA interface. However, it requires analog RGB inputs. Can I extract digital RGB inputs and send them to a DtoA converter?
Hello,
I am relatively new to ASIC. I am implementing a video clamp using an ASIC. It basically clamps a composite video signal(8 bit) to the black level. I wanted to add some more functionality to the ASIC. Can anyone suggest some functionality that I might add?(I am inputting digital NTSC/PAL...
Hello,
I am doing a video processing project using an ASIC. I am taking in an 8 bit video signal input and clamping it to the black level. I wanted to add some more functionality to this project.
I would appreciate it if someone could suggest a few ideas for adding more functionality to this...
ntsc to vga
Hello,
I am relatively new to Video signals, and was requiring some help.
I am implementing a video black level clamp with an ASIC. I was considering adding some more functionality to my ASIC, by implementing a VGA interface. However, I found out that VGA takes in RGB as analog...
