I want to design a feed for a parabolic reflector antenna, it is for a X-band frequency. i am trying to use GRASP 9.3 student edition.
Is this software enough to design the feed ?
i am thinking of using a 61cm diameter parabolic dish because i need a 4 deg beamwidth. the frequency is 9410+/- 30 MHz x-band. this is for a radar application.

can anyone tell me what...
can we get any parabolic dish and use it for an x-band freq? .. or we have to only buy a x-band dish?..... if the parabolic dish is of a different band, can we just replace the feed with x-band waveguide?.. i have to find a 2ft parabolic dish now.. which works in this frequency .. ..
do we need any software or readings from this test would be enough..?.. if we have to use a software which ones the best..
which software is cheap and good for new users?..
k sorry ... since i have already told you that i am new to this ....so can you please tell me what kind of test equipment would i need to test it..
thank you
hi
i want to test a parabolic antenna (X-band 9410 MHz) ...... i know there are some software's like HFSS and FEKO but i am a newbie in this area ..can you please tell any easy way to test my antenna
thank you

srry i am not working on radar design .. i am working on marine radar .. we are thinking of replacing the slotted open array antenna with a parabolic dish antenna.. we are trying to find a x-band 61cm...
yes there is a size limitation.. the parabolic dish antenna which i am trying to use is 61cm in diameter, has 4 deg beamwidth and the freq is 9GHz

the radar which i am working on is a pathfinder marine radar which works in the freq 9GHz. i am thinking of replace the...
hi.. i doing a project in which i am thinking of replacing typical open array antenna with a parabolic antenna. can i do that?....if yes can anyone tell me were to start..?..thank you
hi... i am a research student. i am doing my project in radars. could please help me find this antenna ... parabolic dish ( 61 cm, 4 degree beamwidth and 9 GHz, X-band radar).. thanks in advance.
