Re: Ensemble Tutorial
Thank you all for replying to my topic.
The main problems I had using HFSS were about the time it needs to solve very simple microstrip and stripline structures, mainly when I wanted to have a broadband analysis. Some friends told me to try using Ensemble to simulate this...
Hi all,
does anybody have a Tutorial for Ansoft Enseble?
I've been trying to use HFSS to simulate microstrip lines but I did not get any good result. Now I'd like to try using Ensemble but I've never been working on it.
Thanks in advance,
Antonio
HFSS Striplines
Hi all,
I wonder if there would be anyone who could send me any simple HFSS project to simulate a λ/4 transformer in stripline.
I've been trying to get good results but, in spite of the attempt of setting different values to mesh options parameters, I've obtained not matched...
hfss model resistor
Hi madengr,
I've been trying to set the mesh dimension of my project to a lower value (as you suggested me showing the four pictures) to improve the accuracy of my results.
I'm not sure about where to set it; I set the new value into the field:
"Mesh Options -- > Maximum...
hfss load
Hi maverick,
I'd like to help you but I think I didn't really understand your question; could you share your project to let me have a look at it?

hfss normalize setting inertion loss
Thank you all for trying to help me;
unfortunately I do not have access to a 2.5 simulator that you suggested to be a better simulator for stripline design.
My questions are:
- how do I have to draw the rectangle to define the region to which assign the...
resistor hfss
Hi all,
does anybody know how to design lumped resistors in HFSS (v 9.0)?
I'm trying to simulate a Wilkinson Power Divider in stripline.
Thanks in advance,
Antonio.
Re: HFSS problem
Hi bouchy,
I've not been using HFSS since long time and so I'm not sure about it, but I think you could use lumped elements (HFSS -> Boundaries -> Assign -> LumpedRLC) and then set R=0 or R=∞.
Hope to have helped you,
Antonio.
Re: HFSS joining objects
The objects were native ones and the one obtained by the union was not under the non-model objects.
I will try using HFSS->Measure->Position,
thanks a lot,
Antonio
HFSS joining objects
Hi all,
I've been trying to join two (or even more) different objects (they were boxes) using the boolean function "unite"; what often happened is that after this action the final object is not the union of all the previous ones: I mean that one (or more) disapperead.
As...
Re: HFSS
Hi haydar,
the model was not simmetric, I mean the mirrored part was a little bit shifted and so the 4 terminations did not overlap the face of the substrate. I only had to change a parameter of the mirror-duplicate action to put it in the right position.
My model is now finally...
HFSS Issue-Log
Hi all,
does anybody know whether or not validating a project generates an issue-log and, if yes, where it is (in which directory)?
I believe to remember that I used to check a file in the project directory when validating and solving my first projects but now I cannot find out...
Re: HFSS size
Hi hitmo,
I believe I had the same problem a few days ago and I solved it by changing the units; I was setting lengths of my objects in micro-meters and I scaled all to millimeters so that numeric values were all divided by 1000.
Hope to have help you,
Antonio.
