I want to use poly resistor to design a 12 bits voltage mode output dac based on R-2R structure. in spite of resistor matching, I found that the voltage coefficient of ploy resistor affect dac accuracy much, any good way to remove this effect or what other structures for 12 bits voltage mode...
sorry, i don't express it clearly.
saro_k_82, may you explainn the idea in detail, how to include a third arm in the existing amp and have two second stage? better with drawing, thanks!
maybe 0.5mA/um for general poly is OK, but the high resistance poly should has much less current density. From the PDK doc in hand I can't find this value, then I want to know the approximate value of high poly resistance(2000 ohm unit). thanks!
In general, in the chip spare space we add moscap(gate connect to one power rail, and source-drain connect to the other power rail) for decoupling as moscap has most unit capacitor? but someone said it has esd issue as the gate connect to power rail? then how should we do? thanks!
width vs current
I know the metal current density is about 1mA/um, then how about ploy current density, and how about high resistance poly current desity.
and why do you use thermometer code decoder?how do you control the thermometer code switching capapcitor? is it same switch sequency for the different ADC input direction?
