Is there anyone can share the experience of design antenna using HFSS? Do you inspect the E field or surface J or H field distribution before you decide next slot position? what is the rule to decide the right position?

I think the antenna size should be at the same lever as a quarter of its working wavelength.
I think it will better if you give your specifications for the antenna parameters, like S parameters and voltage standing wave ratio.

I want to simulate a patch antenna through HFSS. Do I need to specificate the material of the PCB board which the antenna is attached to? Or I only need to make a 2D model and set the PCB board as condutive boundary?
