Hi ,
I am trying to simulate a structure in HFSS and it does not have large number of meshes. Near convergence ( around 20 passes ) the total number elements are 286540. But my simulation slows down while computing Kyrlov matrices etc.
I have to finish this simulation and to see the results...
Hi,
In HFSS , we normally specify one solution frequency and we run the sweep for some range of frequencies that includes the solution frequency ( normally in the centre). Like if we run the sweep from 500 MHz to 1000MHz, the solution frequency is chosen to be 750MHz.
But if there are two...
You can see the attached figure. I have explained the problem in detail. You can see that port has been defined somewhere in between the substrate. To do this , do I have to create a hole in the substrate to make space for the 'port ' ?
How can I define lumped port inside the substrate ? We always work with the ports that lie at the edges of the substrate. But I need to define a lumped port that lies at some point inside the substrate, how can I do that? I will appreciate quick response.
Hi
Can anybody tell that what is the formula to calculate the cut off frequency for "Partially filled dielectric loaded cavity resonator" ? Any literature or book that explains this topic ?
Dear FvM ,
I am attaching geometry of my problem. Please suggest me some solution. I have searched a lot on it but I have not yet reached at any solution.
My substrate , slot and feedline position has been clearly shown in the geometry. I have to put electronic equipment inside this box , that...
Hi ,
I am looking for EMI shielding products. I have visited the webistes of 3M and Laird Technologies etc. Their EMI absorbing material also comes in the form of (adhesive )sheets that are really thin and can be pasted right on the radiating strip ( i.e. Mircrostrip line ). But I want to know...
Thanks but I am talking about unwrapping a cylinder using some function/command that converts a cylindrical surface into flat sheet that is equal to 2*pi*r in length. We can do it mathematically but is there is there any such command in HFSS/ drawing softwares that can do such conversion ?
I request any expert in Autocad or any drawing software to help me. I think , many people make drawings in other softwares and then they transfer it to HFSS so somebody can help me with this question.
Thanks.
Hey Everyone ,
Is there a way to unwrap cylinder (or a portion of it) so that you end up with a flat sheet that is equal to the circumference of the cylinder?
I am not looking for a projection but more an unwrapping function going from a cylinder (or portion thereof) to flat panel.
I have...
Thanks for your comments. I am not worried about the outer side of the substrate (ground) on which slot is etched. When I am using the stripline as feeding method for the slot , it is not giving me wider bandwidth. What can be possible reason for that ? With the microstrip , I am getting really...
