I am looking for 160W low cost DC DC Converter solution with below specification
Vin : 80VDC to 160VDC
Vout: 12VDC
I Out: 13A
Efficiency: 94%
Isolation : Yes
Topology : To be decided
I have few observations during the tests
1) No load output voltage observed is 11VDC actual designed value is 13VDC, getting 13VDC only when light load connected
2) 13VDC output getting when below 4VDC applied to the output of Buck converter (controller not turning on when 12VDC applied on...
Buck converter always connect to 12V battary line , when more power required buck converter will switch on and battery line voltage will become 13V. it will happen only when gate resistor become 33E, why

you are right, schematic is wrong can you explain what happening when gate...
Hi this 130W buck converter is an auxiliry supply and always connected to the DC source, buck converter input will active wheniever its requied.
The buck converter working well when not connected to 12V DC source

Hi all
I have noticed an issue in my Buck converter, converter not turning on when output of the buck converter connected to a 12V DC source.
Vin 50V,
Vout 13V
I Out 10A
IC LM5116
By trail and error methode i fixed this issue by changing series gate resistance to 0E, it was 33E.
What could be...
Hi i am looking for very cheep wireless on off switch with one transmitter and several receivers. for simple example i need to switch off or switch on around 10 electric bulb(10m away) with relay through wire less. (One transmitter and 10 receiver). please advice.
Oscilloscope is the best instrument to measure voltage, current and frequency.
Use a current probe to measure the current and a high voltage probe to measure the voltage
Be carful because you are dealing with 1000V, it is very dangerous to human.
If your probe do not have 1000V rating you can...
I dont think it is power supply problems
You cross check the power supply, check any voltage drope while reading, try with proper rectifier circuit and capacitor filter (Electrolytic and ceramic capacitors)
All are ok then no problems with power supply
check this...
Why 100W max because this IC designed for 100W operation, Internal Gate Driver Bias Voltage of IC is about 12 V this voltage cant drive Power MOSFET, with use of a gate driver it is possible.
For Flyback application below 100W is reasonable because flyback topology required MOSFET current...
Well you can use 30V to 9 voltage isolated dc to dc converter, you can take 30V form +/- 15VDC
Hope output power is about 3W (9x 0.25A)
Simple one is available

Hi
Ravi
You cant match the power by multiplying VxI. Current and voltage should match (Using slightly higher voltage or current device is the best practice)
