First of all, I don't have much experience in using G540 on Win 8. Secondly please describe your problem a little better, I don't understand what the problem is.
If the drivers fail to load you may try the compatibility mode as described here...
Hi all.
I am trying to interface PIC18f4520 with SD Card. I know there are a lot of projects on the topic but my question is,
Can 18f4520 run at 3.3V?
On this page https://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?dDocName=en010297 it says that the Operating Voltage is 2 Volts to 5.5 Volts...
A schematic of what you have explained would simplify the matters. My advice would be to make a proteus simulation an test your code there. I am a little confused by your explanation of using USART to communicate with a lcd so i cannot help you more without a schematic.

Ok so the problem was solved. Thanks everyone for taking the time to help me out.
The problem was that one of the commutator brushes had been worn out and was not touching the commutator. I took a tinned wire and hammered it a little to flatten it. Next i simply replaced the brush with that...
Reading SunnySkyguy's comment i checked the motor by opening it and found that one of the brushes touching the commutator was smaller than the other. When i adjusted it a little and connected the motor to power, the motor turned on. However, the motor stopped working when i tried again. So any...
Thanks for your replies guys.
@albert22 while trying out random combinations my hand slipped and the motor turned on momentarily but i couldn't note the connections because my hand slipped (i was trying to read the current on my multimeter.)
@chuckey the battery is able to supply over 2 Amps so...
Hello everyone.
Some time ago the button my electric shaver jammed. When my brother opened it, its button had melted on the inside could not be moved. Since i did not see the button before it was thrown out, i do not know which terminals connect to turn the motor on. I made a schematic of it...
Thanks for your help. I loaded the file and got a message saying the configuration bits were loaded. But if i click CONFIG SET to view the configuration its all been set 1 i.e all the config bytes have FFH in them. Does this mean that this is the configuration that will be loaded when i program...
I programmed a atmega 16L using genius programmer g540. This is based on my experience so i cannot provide any reference but to program a atmega chip place the chip reverse of how it is indicated on the programmer. Secondly to program the fuse bits ignore the names of the bits written in the...
Hi all. I have the same problem. I tried the method explained above but when i load the converted binary file (whose size seems to be zero bytes) the data loaded is 00H in the entire buffer. So can anyone help me out!! I am using the CCS compiler and G540 software version 5.20.
Also can we make...
