Yes, there is a earth wire in the mains cable but it is not connected to the GND of the output DC jack.
I have no way to connect the aluminium box to the earth. It looks that the only option I have is to change the power supply.
Hello,
I have a complex project :
- RF board
- BMS board + Li-ion pack
- CPU board based on a rpi compute module
- Large LCD screen with capacitive touch panel (this one)
All theses items are inside an aluminium box.
I am using a 230V to 24V/2.5A AC/DC power supply to charge the battery.
The...
Hi guys,
I finally build a board with a STM32, a photodiode, switch, power MOS and protection zener. Works great on the table.
This is a simple, first version, "quick and dirt".
HV part :
I'm using a cheap car ignition coil :
There is something disappointing with this coil : there is no...
Hi guys,
Thanks for all your replies.
Concerning the regulation, it is hard to know exactly what is allowed or not (the full official document is more expensive to buy than a commercial HV generator)...
What is known is that the pulse repetition rate must be >1s and the energy should be less...
Hello,
I'm trying to install an electric fence in my garden to protect my vegetables and trees against boars, deer and other wild game. To be effective I have to put 5 wires from 20cm to 1.5m from the soil and be quite generous with the energy discharge. I will probably build a separate circuit...
Yes !
But things are better without theses recommended resistors (my second set of measurements, first post).
R values checked... ok.
PCB layout is very similar to the recommended layout.
Yes. I previously made a characterization board and measured each device with a VNA, 1MHz step from 1M to 6G. For all components... Excepted the splitter, for which I use the manufacturer s4p file.
Hello,
I am using a minicircuits SCN-3-13+ power splitter/combiner (3 ways, 0°).
Before the splitter, I have a SMA connector, some LF filtering and a LNA. This input block is connected the the SUM port of the splitter.
Each output port of the splitter, is connected to a SAW filter and LNA...
Did someone notice that potyo2-rev2 use a 74HC4066 powered by Vpp (~11-12.5V), (instead of CD4066 powered by 5V in rev1), and that 74HC4066 must be powered with a Vcc <= 10V ?
@Rama853 : I would like to say "use potyo2-rev2" but :
corrections between rev1/rev2 :
- D3 and the output buffer enable circuit
- IC5 is 74HC4066 instead of CD4066
- IC5 is powered by Vpp (~12V) instead of Vpp
This could be a huge problem : some 74HC4066 must be powered under 10V (see this...
Actually it's exactly the same source code. Only the config bits are changed :
MCLR disabled (may be usefull)
Power on timer enabled (must be usefull)
Brown-out detect enabled (not sure it's usefull)
Try it!
Hi everybody,
Last year I build a potyo2 ICD2 (home made prototype), it works quite fine. Last summer, I build 2 potyo2 ICD2 (modified : added decoupling cap). PCB is 4-layers (internal layers = GND and +5V planes), components are all SMD. I think the hardware is ok.
EDIT : I successfully...
Yes !
I've replaced the 2 PIC by new ones : it's working ! I don't know what happened with the others PIC.
It's working (prog & debug) :
- PIC18F4550 @ 5V
- PIC24FJ48GA004 @ 5V
- dsPIC30F2010 @ 2.0V, 3.3V, 5V
I use MPLAB 8.10.
:D:D:D
I'm going to route a SMD version of potyo v2 PCB and...
potyo 2 icd2
It's ok :
The 20MHz crystal is working around PIC16F (20MHz =>HS mode).
The PIC16 CLKO output clock signal is then clocking the PIC18. So, PIC18 clock is external : EC...
