Here is what I learned from a techie guy in store.
The foam padding on the bottom of the breadboard helps with dissipation of heat.
The board that I referred to as "aluminum" according to this man, is nickel plating and probably also helps with heat dissipation.
.
In schematics for the 555 Timer Chip in Schmatics they do not show the hookups as
1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, 6, 7, 8 in vertical sequence. Many scchematics illustrate
the sequence of leads on the chip as all mixed up. The draw is clear, but the sequence as to the chip is all mixed up...
My breadboards come with a sticky adhesive back.
Then, there is a loose metal plate on the bottom. I think it is aluminum.
Is the metal plate supposed to be attached to make it work?
Can I just discard the metal plate?
Does the size / diameter of the antenna coil matter, as to say 1-1/2 inch.
what happens with a bigger, say, 3" coil wrapping?
What about the number of turns. I saw 65 recommended for a 1-1/2" coil.
What happens with say, 100 wraps?
Would variations allow pick up of other...
I have the Mr. Circuit One book (see www.eki.com) with 30 projects, but I need to order all the components to build and solder the projects. As presented, these are only Breadboarding projects and I am teaching my Grandchildren and want the to solder on perf board.
The problem was I...
Brian:
Thanks. Sadly, I am mostly from the Analog generation, and I never learned how to post photos. I don't even take digital photos.
However, there is an inline oval of plastic in addition to the volume switch. I strongly suspect the IC Chip is there.
I would be willing to rebuild this...
Thank you Brian. It has a USB connector.....to single wire....to left side ear phone plastic casing.
there appears to be no easy entry here. I just now pulled on the small ear phone pad and it had a plastic nub that pulled out of a slot.
From USB side is a very fine red wire and...
Hello All:
[New member, first post etc.]
Question #1 I have a $100.00 Dynex headset with mic that I use for Skype. I noticed that the volume decreased to about half, and sometimes the volume jumps up and drops. Sometimes it sounds like speech underwater.
So today, I bought a...
