    Question on High Impedance (HZ)

Hello, I have several question regarding HZ. 1. What does it means exatly when we say a pad is HZ? (in term of voltage current) 2- Could we directly connect two HZ pads without any specific care? 3- What if we connect a HZ pad with low or high level pad? Thanks for your help

What means by a1,b1 in S-Parameter?

Hello CQCQ, a1,a2 are incident voltages and b1,b2 are reflected voltages, each being normalized by √Zo. Samy

need to measure the input impedance of a LNA

Re: LNA measurement Hello Kspala, As you noticed, it is -80dBm and not 80dBm (typo error)...sorry for the inconvenience. Moreover, I confirm you that on the VNA, I use, the level of the power source can only be decreased down to -20dBm. Your help is appreciated. Thanks Samy

need to measure the input impedance of a LNA

LNA measurement Hi Experts, I need to measure the input impedance of a LNA designed to amplify RF signals around 80dBm. However, the source of my VNA can only be decreased down to -20dBm. .....Any idea of how I can do this measurement? Thanks, Samy

Ground loop in RF- request for resources

Re: Ground loop in RF Hi Flatulent, Thanks for your help. You stated in your previous post: "No full circle routs with part of the signal path going left to right and then making a U turn to come back to the left." What could be the effects to proceed like this? (Noise coupling?) Thanks, Samy

How to derive the equations that rule the design of LC balun?

Hello, I am newbie in the field of....... I want to learn how to derive the equations that rule the design of LC balun. I found this equation in several papers, but was not able to derive them from the circuit topology. I hope someone could help to this. Thanks, Samy
